Our Orthodontic Specialists
All of our orthodontists are on the Irish Register of Dental Specialists. They are also members of the Orthodontic Society of Ireland and the American Association of Orthodontists. Between them they have successfully treated over 10,000 orthodontic patients.
Dr Anthony Coughlan
Dr Anthony Coughlan is the founder and clinical director of Dublin Orthodontics. Dr Coughlan has practised orthodontics in the Charlemont Clinic and Malahide since 1995. Before specialising in orthodontics, he was a general dentist for 10 years. He qualified in Dublin, and carried out his post-graduate orthodontic training at Tufts University in Boston, USA. Dr Coughlan was President of the Orthodontic Society of Ireland in 2007.
Dr Brian O'Connor
Dr Brian O'Connor has practiced orthodontics in Ireland and the UK since 1990, and before this he was a general dentist for 15 years. He completed his dental training in Dublin, and his post-graduate orthodontic training in St Louis, USA.
Dr Lettice O'Leary
Dr Lettice O'Leary graduated with honours in orthodontics and paedodontics from Cork Dental School in 1999. She has worked in general practice and oral surgery. She completed her post-graduate training in orthodontics at the University of London.
Dr Jonathan Butler
Dr Jonathan Butler completed his dental training in Dublin and worked as a general dentist for 9 years before undertaking his orthodontic training at Guy's Hospital in London. Dr Butler was awarded the prestigious William Houston Medal from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. He currently teaches orthodontics at the Dublin Dental School and Hospital and also holds a clinical post at St James Hospital, Dublin.
